Knoxville, TN: Aqua-Chem, Inc. has entered into an agreement to acquire the product lines and specific assets of Matrix Utilities, Inc. Employees of Matrix will now join Aqua-Chem. Matrix designs and manufactures the following applications: Reverse Osmosis Watermakers for land-based desalination; Marine and Yacht RO Watermakers and Offshore Oil and Gas RO Purification Systems.

Prior to acquiring the Matrix assets and product lines, Aqua-Chem was a leading supplier of vapor compression and waste heat distillation desalination systems. With the acquisition, Aqua-Chem has become a “one-stop” solution provider for a full range of desalination systems and is able to offer the optimal solution for every application. Matrix, based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, offers a full range of seawater and brackish water reverse osmosis systems rated from 2 tons per day to over 1,000 tons per day. Matrix has been in business for more than 22 years and has existing installations in over 100 countries and all 7 continents.
